A: If your friend has a warrant for not showing up to court, even though they did, they should act quickly to address the situation. Going to the courthouse and speaking with the clerk is a good first step. They should bring any proof they have, such as receipts or documents, showing they paid for the insurance and attended court as required.

It’s possible the warrant is due to a clerical error, and if the court sees evidence of compliance, they may be able to clear it. However, there’s a chance they could still be arrested, especially if the warrant is active. It might be helpful to call ahead or consult with an attorney before going to avoid potential complications.

To avoid further issues, it’s important to address this matter right away, as ignoring the warrant could lead to more serious consequences.
