A: Elder abuse can take many forms, including physical, verbal, and emotional abuse, as well as financial exploitation. In your father’s case, the abuse he is experiencing from his wife and her son is not acceptable and needs immediate attention. It's important to understand that he has the right to live in a safe and supportive environment, especially considering his Parkinson's condition.

To help your father stay in his home with proper care, you may want to consider filing for a restraining order against the individuals who are abusive. This could potentially remove your mother's son from the home if he poses a threat. Additionally, you might explore the possibility of involving Adult Protective Services (APS) in Fresno, as they can conduct an investigation and provide guidance on next steps.

You and your sister’s videos documenting the abuse can serve as valuable evidence when reporting the situation. It may also be beneficial to consult with an attorney who has experience with elder law to discuss legal options and protect your father’s rights. The goal is to ensure a safe environment where your father can receive the care he needs without fear of further harm.
