Q: I contacted veterans guardian for help on my va benefits. But due to my memory loss they tried to get me to pay $300.
What can I do for the false information they give me on helping me then saying since I won’t pay to see their doctor when I said I have insurance and they refuse to send me to one my insurance will pay for and said my memory loss is not gonna help but told me up front that was not an issue. And I even filled out their ptsd survey and give them all my info. And now they got all my info they have refused to help me. What can be done?
A:
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation where the company misled you about their services and has now refused to assist you after gathering your personal information. You should start by documenting everything, including all communication you had with Veterans Guardian and any promises they made about helping you, especially regarding your memory loss and your insurance coverage.
Next, you may want to contact the VA directly to explore other avenues for assistance with your benefits. Additionally, if you feel this company is engaging in unfair or deceptive practices, consider filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
If you're worried about the personal information you provided, you could also reach out to an attorney experienced in consumer protection to explore legal options or protection for your personal data. You have the right to be treated fairly, especially as a veteran seeking benefits.
