Q: I need help/advice for a personal injury lawyer for a very complex personal injury case.
I would like to say that I am doing my own research and am asking for others' help right now. In April this year I was a passenger in a taxi and another driver side swiped us going maybe 20-30 miles per hour. I have lots of other pre-existing lower back problems and neck problems from previous accidents I've been in. To this day since the hit and run accident I have been to the emergency room 5 times for severe sciatic pain. I was told from my current law group who will be dropping the case due to the complexity of my pre-existing conditions and that the taxi company isn't cooperating by giving their insurance information to the law group and the only way to get the insurance information is to sue them. I've also gotten a steroid injection 1-2 months ago in my back. If anyone can help me find a law firm to take on this complex case I would appreciate it. Thanks.
A: I'm sorry about your accident and the ordeal it has caused you. A Kentucky attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. You're right - it is a complex case, between the pre-existing conditions and the involvement of multiple vehicles - but it isn't something that an experienced attorney couldn't deal with (if they accepted the case). I wish you a healthy recovery. But your question is simple and straightforward - how to find a new law firm after your original firm returned the case to you. You could search online, which you've probably already started to do, and supplement your efforts with the "Find a Lawyer" tab above and the attorney referral sections of local and state bar associations. Those resources are outside this forum, so any arrangements are between you and the law firms/entities you reach out to. Good luck
