A: I'm sorry you're going through this—it sounds incredibly frustrating and unfair. When it comes to racial profiling, you may have grounds for a lawsuit if you can prove that Wells Fargo discriminated against you based on your race. You can consider filing a complaint with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights or the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to see if your case can be pursued further.

As for your experience at East Orange General, it’s understandable that the situation feels unjust. It’s critical to gather as much documentation as possible, including medical records and any statements that were made. Since the patient advocate dismissed your concerns, you may want to consider contacting a different advocate or ombudsman to push for a more thorough investigation.

Although it may be difficult to find a lawyer, you could also explore legal aid services or seek out organizations that handle cases for seniors who may be facing discrimination or neglect. Keep pushing for your rights—what you’ve experienced isn’t acceptable, and you deserve proper support.
