Baton Rouge, LA asked in Domestic Violence and Family Law for Louisiana

Q: I have a protective order against me by my husbands ex. While the order was active I attended their child support court

Court date as his witness. He has no attorney but we were informed he didn’t need one to call a witness. I had spoken to the DV clerk prior to the court date to see if I could attend the hearing and he told me yes. I had the child with me not knowing I couldn’t bring her in the courtroom. So I seconded to leave because I couldn’t be of help to my husband while I had the child . The ex was not present at the my time of arrival . She showed up as I was deciding to leave . Upon trying to leave the ex(petitioner) showed up and took the child keeping me from being able to leave (we have a legal custody agreement). Upon getting the child back and trying to leave she recorded me sitting there and then got the sheriff. I was not arrested but escorted out of the courthouse. Will I be charged with contempt of court ?
