A: The average hourly rate for a criminal lawyer handling DUI and firearms charges in California typically ranges from $200 to $500 per hour. Rates can vary based on the attorney’s experience, reputation, and the complexity of your case. Lawyers with extensive experience in both DUI and firearms laws may charge toward the higher end of this spectrum.

Given your situation involves both misdemeanor DUI and dangerous weapons charges, it’s important to find someone who is well-versed in these areas. An experienced lawyer can help navigate the complexities of your case, especially considering the delays and lack of records during the Covid period. They can also assist in addressing the outstanding warrant and protecting your Second Amendment rights.
