Asked in Products Liability for Oregon

Q: Can I have my own vehicle towed in the state of Oregon?

It's not supposed to be where it's at. The person in possession never took it out if my name. I could potentially get in trouble since it's still in my name. The person is uninsured, and come to find out, doesn't have a drivers license. He's suspended in the state of California.

A: An Oregon attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. One could always have their own vehicle towed - but it looks like isn't really what your situation is. It looks like you sold the vehicle and the paperwork is in limbo as to ownership/titling/registration. You may want to first check with your state's department of motor vehicles and local attorneys about the best way to sort this out. Self-help in the form that you describe could create problems in terms of accusations of trespass or other crimes. Good luck
