Q: How to fight judge denying contempt when you’ve proven with factual evidence and law for contempt?
The judge we have for custody case has constantly shown heavy biased towards my partners extremely manipulative mother who’s an intervenor. Even though we always provide factually accurate evidence and proof of the manipulation and lying, the judge just doesn’t care. We filed for contempt and proved without a shadow of doubt of blatant acts of contempt and used Colorado law to back us up. Judge once again didn’t care, ignored the law and clear definition of contempt and said it wasn’t in the best interest of the child. We’re at a complete loss on what else we can do. We have zero money for an attorney and I have no one who can help us. What can we do to fight back? Feels like no matter what he does to prove he should have full custody (mother currently has physical custody) the judge ignores everything he says and says she’ll deal with it “as it comes” for the contempt. What’s the point of contempt if you can’t get it no matter how much you prove it?
