Q: I bought a 2015 Hyundai Sonata car 7/15/24, took possession 7/16, and the car broke down on 7/21
On 7/21, the engine light was flashing, car wouldn't move, car had a noise of a knocking sound. I had the car took back to the dealership on 7/22/24. It's been sitting since the 22nd of July. I have made 3 car payments on the vehicle. The car broke down before warranty applied on 7/30/24. Warranty said that the dealership sold me the car the way it was, because prior to warranty being contacted about the car being out of service. The Dealership wasn't supposed to diagnose the vehicle, a mechanic is to diagnose the car. I was told that Sludge from oil caused the car to not work. On the 7/20/24, the vehicle didn't have any oil, neither did they complete an oil change. I was told by the mechanics who were doing the oil change, that the car access panel was being held on by zip ties as well as the skid plate. I bought the car from a used car dealership.
