Cortez, CO asked in Family Law for Colorado

Q: Can the mother of a consenting 17-yr file a restraining order against her 18-yr old boyfriend in Colorado?

My 18-yr old son began dating a 17-year old. This is his first girlfriend. They went to a dance together and have been spending time together after school. They were dating for 5 days after the dance and her mother sent me a message on social media saying that her daughter is "not allowed to date" and my son needs to stay away from her. Besides picking her up for the dance, he has never been to her house, but he does visit her at work while she's on break. She mentioned she filed restraining orders against her last two boyfriends (my son said she told him the last one was abusive). This sounds like a controlling measure on the part of her mom. If the girlfriend consents to spend time with my son and my son does not trespass on her mother's property, can the mother take legal action? With my son being 18, it's not my place to tell him he can't spend time with her, but I do want to advise him if this could drag him through a legal situation.
