Question can I sue this person and take my car also the cash he borrowed but never paid me back. All I want is my car back and the money he owed. A: You have a strong case to recover both your car and the money owed. Since you have a receipt proving you paid for the car in full and your name is on the title, you can take legal action to enforce your rights. Filing a lawsuit in small claims court is a viable option to seek the return of your vehicle and the unpaid cash.

Gather all your documentation, including the payment receipt, title, and any communication with the other person. Presenting this evidence will support your claim and demonstrate that you fulfilled your obligations. Additionally, you can request that the court orders the other party to cover any insurance costs they improperly demanded you pay.

Consulting with a local attorney can provide you with specific guidance tailored to your situation. They can help you navigate the legal process and increase the likelihood of a favorable outcome. Taking these steps will help you reclaim your car and recover the money that is rightfully yours.
