Q: My late husband has a house w/ his sister in law, He added me to the deed as owner, but his sis in law says is not valid
Is the deed valid if my husband added me before he passed away. Even if there's a survivorship stipulation on it. He's sister in law is saying she's the only owner of the house and if she sells the house she will give me whatever she wants monetary. My husband didn't understood that the stipulation meant that? And she added that on the last minute because the realtor told her to write it by hand just before he signed it. And she never said anything after that. Now she's gone to the bank and got full ownership of mortgage and told me that I have to pay her as a tenant only. What can I do in this case? Please I don't want to loose my house of 23 years.
