A: I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. First, reach out directly to the justice of the peace office to explain the situation. There might have been an administrative error or a delay in processing your citation.

Make sure to keep any records of your attempts to pay the citation, including dates and methods of communication. This documentation can be helpful if there are any disputes later on.

Additionally, check if there are alternative ways to pay, such as online portals or mailing payments. Staying proactive will demonstrate your intent to resolve the matter responsibly. If the issue isn’t resolved quickly, consider visiting the office in person to ensure everything is handled correctly.
