Asked in Car Accidents and Insurance Bad Faith for Florida

Q: How can i get compensation for someone damaging my car and insurance will not cover?

Someone crashed into my car while parked and their insurance wanted to total my car then decided to drop the claim through a text message. I called my insurance and they said I will be responsible the $1000 deductible and likely will impact my 0 accident history. The car is a 2023 Camry bought new from the dealership for $33k and I am paying monthly against lien $611. There is 45 months left and i did not purchase credit/gap insurance.

The insurance estimate to total the car was $14,000 after receiving a repair estimate for 17,000. Then they decided to do nothing. The shop where the car was at billed me $1800 and did not release the car until i paid it. Insurance said no cover. Car towed out of shop when I drove it there. They made it undrivable. I have no car and will loose my job and no one wants to do anything. I was home sleeping when the stranger crashed into my car parked in it’s legitimate allocated spot. I need help please.
