This situation sounds very challenging, and as someone over 65 with disabilities, you have special protections under California law. You should immediately contact Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) at 800-399-4529, as they provide free legal help to seniors and can assist with both your housing and pension issues.
Your pension rights may have been violated, and you should contact the U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) at 1-866-444-3272. They can investigate your pension situation and help protect your rights. Additionally, contact the California Department of Aging at 1-800-510-2020 to connect with local services that can help with emergency food assistance and other senior support programs.
Regarding the 30-day notice, don't move out yet. In California, tenants over 65 who have lived in their unit for more than one year are typically entitled to 60 days' notice, not 30. Contact the Housing Rights Center at 1-800-477-5977 for free help challenging this notice. They can also explain your rights and possibly help you get additional time if you need it. You may also qualify for emergency rental assistance through your local Area Agency on Aging.
