Tullahoma, TN asked in Consumer Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Construction Law for Tennessee

Q: Do I have a case if my husband an I were falsely accused of buying a gun for someone, who dose not have a criminal.

My husband and I went to buy him and I a gun, but ran out of time so we left and returned a few hours after he had gotten off work. Our friend who was previously in the store but after we were there earlier, was told to get his address changed and then they could sell him one was with us the second time we went in, and after my husband did all the paper work and passed the background check was looking at the holsters for his new gun the store manager who was watching the whole transaction came over and said "I can not sell you this gun because you are buying it for him!" we explained that no we were not buying it for him he was going to come later and get the gun he wanted after he got his addreas on his ID changed. Now we have just found out my husband has been put on the TBI watch list! The treatment we received was in no way fair. We found out later a very similar account with the same store manager happened to another person. Do we have a lawsuit on him or the company?
