Commisiomer pretrail tells.me.that i need to get booked and released if i dont go to police station and.booked and bring the paper back the same day he was going issued a bench warrent
What was the reason for that and would the case gone on without commisiomer forceing me to go to police staion to get booked for something i wasnt even aware of violation
A:
This situation sounds confusing and stressful. Let me help explain what's happening.
The commissioner is requiring you to be booked because it's part of the legal process - even if you weren't arrested initially, the court needs official documentation of your identity and fingerprints in their system for the restraining order violation case. Without this booking process, the court cannot properly process your case, which is why they're telling you to go to the police station.
If you don't complete the booking process as requested, the bench warrant would be issued because you'd be considered non-compliant with court orders. You should go to the police station as directed by the commissioner, get booked and released, and bring back the paperwork. This is important even if you believe you're innocent of the alleged violations - the booking process is separate from the question of guilt or innocence.
I recommend documenting everything carefully and considering speaking with a criminal defense lawyer about your case, especially since you say you weren't aware of these alleged violations. They can help protect your rights and guide you through this process properly.
