Q: What kind of legal action I can take for my husband who got married for second time out of country without divorcing me.
We are married for 34 years with 2 adults daughters My husband got married in Pakistan without my consent or divorce to me. He says he can marry again without divorce to me in other country under land of law. He got married to his first cousin in Pakistan on video call with help of lawyer in Pakistan and priest. We are Muslims and he claims that he had rights to marry 4 times by Islamic law. He does not need to divorce me. Now he wants me to accept his second marriage or he threatened me that he will divorce me. I want to know is his marriage acceptable here in Texas? We both are US citizens married here in court and Islamic way. Can I take any legal action against him? Can I get his second marriage null? What can I do?
