A: An Alabama attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Most people in your position would probably think of using that point. But a local attorney could advise better in terms of the legalities involved in your idea - it is possible that you and the other side could have conflicting accounts of the character of the visit - what you claim to be a tenancy could be claimed to be a free friendly stay by the other side. That's why an attorney could advise more prudently on the best course of action. Based on the amount in question, and the expense of involving attorneys, it would naturally be better if you and the other side could reach an amicable and friendly agreement on the deal on your own. Good luck
