Q: Could a lawsuit be filed against Governor Mike Parson and Missouri Right to Life for intentionally misleading voters?
I'm a student at Arizona State University researching the recently passed Amendment 3 in Missouri. Misleading language and proven-false statements were frequently being used to misrepresent the amendment. Is there any legal grounds in this situation? I feel that it could be categorized as a form of voter suppression. There must be a way to hold political organizations and elected officials accountable. The amendment was passed with 51% "yes" votes, but that still leaves 49% who may have not been informed about the amendment and were influenced by the misinformation spread by the Governor and other pro-life organizations.
