Salmon, ID asked in Personal Injury and Health Care Law for Idaho

Q: Do I have any chance with a case? Feb 14th 23' I was dropped on my R artificial knee. Broke my femur & both ankles.

Feb. 2023 I came to help out my housebound mother and to celebrate my Pop's birthday. Pos was a residence at Lakeside in Polson. I got severely sick and was taken to St Luke's in Ronan. Admitted for severe dehydration and RSV. I needed to go potty and had voiced that since I had been admitted. I told the RN that. He got a commode and wanted me to walk to the chair. I told the RN that if I stood up I would fall down. I had done that before entering the hospital. (Hence the fall risk). I was ignored. Thr Rn have me a walker. Under the right armpit had the CNA & the left the RN.. I took a tiny step with my left leg and as stood as I put my weight on my right leg I went down. I landed on my titanium knee and fractured my femur, as well as both of my ankles. I had an in-room xray of my femur bit nothing on my ankles. I was transferred to Community in Missoula and even more HELL. I was there for 5 days & had 4 trays of meals. I have never been so disrespected or abused!

A: An Idaho attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. I'm sorry about your ordeal. From your post, it looks like this happened in February 2023. I do not practice in Idaho but based a quick check of online information available to the general public, it looks like the statutes of limitations in your state for personal injury or med mal are two years. Again, this is something that an Idaho attorney should advise on, as each state's statutes of limitations may sometimes have nuances, subject to applicable legal doctrines. If you are contemplating pursuing the matter and want to learn what your rights and options may be here, I recommend you consider reaching out to Idaho attorneys without further delay to try to arrange a free initial consult. Good luck
