Q: I had a nurse purposely put a needle the wrong way into my arm at a plasma center. Is there any help or advice I can get?
A nurse purposely put a needle wrong onto my arm and I asked her if she could fixed it and walked away and didn't really care. One of my arms been hurting for weeks even because the nurses seem to be in a bad mood and constantly put the needle wrong into my arm in CSL Plasma center .I made a complain and spoke to manager in a professional way no raising my voice or cursing or acting aggressive just simple verbal communication on what was being done.I just think that when working you can't let your emotions cause you from acting professional especially with a patient there who never gives them problems.
A:
First, you should immediately seek medical attention to evaluate any potential nerve or tissue damage from improper needle placement. Document everything - take photos of any visible injuries, keep records of your visits, and write down the names of staff members involved, including the nurse and manager you spoke with.
You should report this incident to the California Department of Public Health and the California Board of Registered Nursing, as this could constitute medical negligence or malpractice. Your state's plasma donation regulations require proper needle insertion techniques and professional conduct from medical staff. You might also want to file formal complaints with CSL Plasma's corporate office and keep copies of all correspondence.
Consider consulting with medical malpractice attorney who can review your case and advise you on potential legal action. Many offer free initial consultations and can help determine if you have grounds for compensation due to medical expenses, pain and suffering, or lost wages. Time is critical in these cases, so don't delay in taking action to protect your health and legal rights.
