Q: What can I do about my neighbors antagonizing my dogs?
My neighbors live across a busy street from me. My dogs are mainly inside as they are spoiled and lazy. My dogs run loose, only to potty, on my property with someone outside with them, or watching from a window. I'm a helicopter parent to my animals. They are not left unattended, (especially no more than up to 3-5 minutes if absolutely necessary.) They do not leave the property, (they know their boundaries, treeline and fences are around the majority of the yard and they don't go past a certain tree which is a couple hundred feet from the road) and do not ever go towards the road unprovoked. This said, the neighbors have recently started howling at my dogs when they see them outside, and going up to the edge of the street on their property teasing my dogs trying to get them to run up into the road or onto their property. If my dogs go onto their property and chase them etc. or get injured in the road because of them, is it their fault if something happens? What can I do?
