Q: Am I still required to pay my ex-wife’s house payment?
My divorce agreement states that as property division I receive all my retirement and my ex-wife receives the house and any equity in the house. It required her to refinance in her name only and I am to pay the house payment on the current note or new note until May 2025. The house has been sold and there is no longer a note or payment for that house. She received over $200,000 in equity. Am I still required to make a house payment on a house she no longer owns or lives in?
