Richardson, TX asked in Criminal Law for Texas

Q: How can I get an evading charge dropped when I didn’t intentionally flee I didn’t even know he was an officer?

I’m in Amarillo Texas and a few days ago I took my spouse to report to parole I was sitting in the parking lot playing gAmes and casually texting spouse who was inside building. The next thing my spouse gets in the car and as I start pulling away a crazed looking man in a black shirt with a reflective silver stripe comes running around my vehicle with something in his hand breaks out my window (I have been diagnosed with PTSD and other mental health disorders such as bipolar and currently not receiving any treatment) in all this confusion and not knowing due to his attire he was even a police officer I feared for my safety and I pulled out of the parking lot to safety. When a squad car pulled behind me with the lights on I pulled behind a semi truck in the right lane at normal speeds and proceeded to exit the highway and pull over at this point I know the police are wanting me to stop and I do exactly that. They asked me what the hell I was thinking and I told them I was scared
