Q: Business model legality and company formation?
I have a mobile app that shares sports betting predictions. there is no gambling in my mobile app. only predictions of the results of sports matches are shared only by me. users see these predictions as paid subscribers. for example the result of the LA lakers vs Boston Celtics NBA game, Boston wins and the odds are 1.50. odds is the winning rate if a bet is placed. this information is shared. but when sharing odds, there is no reference to a casino site or advertising gambling in any way. it just says “Odds 1.50”.
1-Is this business model legal in the US and if so, do I need a state and US license?
2-If it is legal in the US, is it legal in all states or is it only legal in certain states?
3-Which state do you recommend for this business model and do you also provide LLC registration services?
