A: Having multiple immigration applications can make the process more complex, but there are steps you can take to move your case forward.

You should first contact USCIS directly through their website or phone line to inquire about your case status. Since your VAWA petition was approved in 2023, you can also schedule an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS office to discuss your pending green card application in person.

If you haven't received a response after reaching out to USCIS, consider working with an immigration attorney who can help determine if there are any issues delaying your case. They can review your full immigration history, contact USCIS on your behalf, and potentially file a mandamus lawsuit if there have been unreasonable delays. You can find qualified immigration attorneys through your state's bar association or through non-profit immigration organizations in your area.
