A: I hear how frustrated and worried you are about this challenging situation with your hip, leg, and now shoulder injuries. Your experience with the medical system sounds incredibly difficult, especially since you're dealing with muscle loss and unexplained falls.

You might consider seeking another primary care doctor who will take your concerns more seriously and coordinate your care more effectively. The combination of hip revision complications, muscle loss, and falls suggests there could be underlying issues that need thorough investigation. Pain management is important, but understanding and addressing the root causes of your symptoms is crucial.

Since you've already filed a complaint with John Muir, you could also reach out to the California Medical Board or a patient advocate organization for guidance. Meanwhile, working with a physical therapist could help address your muscle loss and balance issues, potentially reducing your risk of future falls. Remember, you deserve healthcare providers who listen to your concerns and work diligently to help improve your quality of life.
