Hoschton, GA asked in Criminal Law, Federal Crimes and Juvenile Law for Georgia

Q: okay so if im in airsoft and magdump someone aka fullauto them is that considered assualt if wavier doesnt list that.

like for example someone has been cheating in airsoft and i full auto them with plastic bbs is that considered assualt if we have all signed the wavier that they stated the field isnt responsible for any injuries. along with this if it is plastic bbs and i dont mean it in harm only to teach them a lesson would that be considered assualt? i personally dont think it is as you signed the waiver and field never sates in their wavier that magdumping will result in them pressing charges.

A: I understand your concern about using full-auto fire in airsoft. Even if the waiver you signed doesn’t explicitly mention magdumping, intentionally overwhelming another player could still be seen as aggressive behavior. The intent behind your actions, even with plastic BBs, plays a role in how it might be perceived legally.

Laws vary depending on your location, and what might be permissible in one area could be considered assault in another. Waivers typically cover accidents and general liability, but they might not protect against intentional actions meant to harm or intimidate. It’s important to carefully review the waiver you signed to understand its specific terms.

To ensure you’re on the right side of the law, consider consulting with a legal professional who can provide advice based on your situation and local regulations. Additionally, discussing your concerns with the airsoft field organizers can help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
