A: You'll want to talk to a DUI lawyer in the area where you got the charge.

They can walk you through any potential defenses and potential negotiating outcomes.

A: Hire a DUI lawyer in the city you were charged. The law has a strange definition of operation.

A: Your case should be scheduled for an arraignment, at which time the judge will set a trial date and either appoint a public defender to represent you or inform you of your right to hire a lawyer. Like many types of cases, DUI cases are very fact-specific and your culpability will depend on a few factors. Your defense attorney should be able to explain where things are likely to head based on the specifics of your case. I do not recommend posting any additional details about your situation in this public forum.
