Q: Mobile home park refuses to put my spouse on the lease. Mobile home park management says my wife cannot live with me.

Hi I live in Canyon city Colorado. In January 2024 I bought a trailer in a nice trailer court, 55 and older. Since then, I got married about a month ago. Since I’m the only one on the lease management will not put my spouse on the lease and was told that he has to leave. I am still paying on my trailer loan. And I have never missed A trailer space rent payment. I have been paying an extra $50 more rent for the last 3 months for water because the lot rent includes water. We cannot afford to move out because we still owe on the trailer. When I met my spouse, I took him to the management office and introduced him to them. And told them that he would be living with me. That’s when they said I would have to pay an extra $50 for the water. Now that we are married, they will not put him on the lease. And told me that he has to leave. I am 67 and my spouse is 45 years old. I do not know if it is because of the age or if it’s because we are same sex marriage. We do not bother any of the tenants
