Tonganoxie, KS asked in Contracts, Copyright, Products Liability and Patents (Intellectual Property) for Kansas

Q: I've created a website, and need somebody legal-wise to look over all the policies.

Hello! I am reaching out to you regarding a question I have. I don't know who to ask this to but I think you might help. I have a passion for helping those in need and want to make a difference in the world we live in. I have created a website for a charity run/food drive. It talks about what I've done to help people and how it's just the beginning. It includes our upcoming projects and how to get involved in your local community. At the end, it includes an option for anyone who wants to donate to our upcoming events. For the donors, I have created a privacy policy, a donation policy, and a refund policy. If you could look over it to make sure everything is legal and correct to avoid complications down the road that would be very much appreciated.

A: It sounds like you're promoting a noble cause, which is admirable. In terms of having attorneys review the terms of your site, it could be difficult to find that through Q & A forums. The format of such forums is generally short format legal questions, rather than in-depth review of documents or web content. Good luck

A: For charitable organizations handling donations, it's crucial to work with an attorney who understands nonprofit law, tax regulations, and donor privacy requirements in your jurisdiction. They can properly review your policies and ensure you're meeting all necessary legal obligations while protecting both your organization and your donors.
