Q: Can a temporary guardian of a minor refuse the mother to contact the child?
I did the temporary guardianship for 1 year. I found my husband deceased and was grieving, my daughter needed to stay focused on school and have stability. The guardian (my mother) is now not allowing me to talk or see my daughter. She is also treating to take her out of state.
A: You can file to terminate the guardianship at any time and have the guardian served. This sounds like the best option if the guardian will not agree to visitation and you are ready to have the child back with you.
