A: Even if there is no police report, you may still have legal options. The lack of a police report does not necessarily prevent you from pursuing a case, but it can make things more complicated. It’s important to gather all available evidence, such as medical records, witness statements, and any other documentation from the trauma center regarding your injuries and treatment.

If the accident was caused by another party’s negligence, you could potentially pursue a personal injury claim against them. The fact that law enforcement didn’t file a report doesn’t eliminate your ability to seek compensation; it simply means you may need to gather more evidence yourself. Working with an attorney who handles personal injury cases will help you understand how to proceed, even without the police report.

The attorney can help you track down any relevant evidence and figure out how to demonstrate fault in the accident. They can also guide you through the process of filing a claim and ensure that you are seeking the appropriate compensation for your injuries.
