Q: Is it advisable to seek private attorney rather than the ones provided by my auto insurance in a major accident?

A: That is up to you to decide. I handle plaintiff side only. You can bet normally speaking insurance company will assign experienced attorneys. However, you can usually pick according to your policy-check it. Sometimes your insurance company will not settle a case when it is advisable and put your assets at risk because they think it is their economic interest to do so. In that instance it is advisable to have your own attorney.
