A: A lawyer where you live cannot help you in Greenville,SC unless the lawyer is also licensed to practice law in SC. You need a traffic attorney in Greenville SC if you are charged with a traffic offense there. Your place of residence is not relevant.

A: As a followup - its not clear from your post whether this was a car accident OR a traffic citation. If a traffic citation, then definitely Greenville, SC. If this was a car accident then this needs turned over to your insurer. If you are sued, the insurer will find defense counsel who practice in the county where you are sued. If this was a car accident where does the other driver live? The other driver may sue you in the county where the accident occurred (here Greenville SC) or where you reside (which would be Charlotte NC) or where they reside possibly if somewhere else.
