Q: What does the father of my son need in order to qualify for joint custody? What do they look at to decide?
The father of my son is wanting to take me to court to get custody. We were never married and don't live together. He doesn't have his own place, vehicle, or any money to truly support him. He works, but never saves any money. He is behind on child support and has yet to start making payments. He is also a functioning alcoholic and smokes weed. What sort of arrangement would the court most likely make?
