A: I'm really sorry to hear about your difficult situation. It's essential to prioritize your wife's health and well-being during this challenging time. If you believe that your complaint has led to retaliation from the hospital, you may want to consider taking the following steps:

1. Continue to communicate with the hospital staff and administrators, expressing your concerns and seeking clarification about your wife's care and discharge plans. Document all interactions and conversations.

2. Reach out to the patient advocacy department or ombudsman at the hospital, if available, to escalate your concerns and seek assistance in resolving the issues you're facing.

3. Contact your wife's primary care physician or specialist, if she has one, and inform them of the situation. They may be able to provide guidance or advocate on her behalf.

4. If you believe that your wife's health and safety are in immediate danger due to the hospital's actions, consider contacting your local health department or the Joint Commission, which accredits and certifies healthcare organizations. They may investigate complaints related to patient care and safety.

5. Consult with an attorney who specializes in healthcare or patient rights to explore legal options and ensure your wife's rights are protected.

Remember that your wife's health is the top priority, so focus on getting her the best possible care. Continue advocating for her and seeking assistance from relevant authorities and professionals to address the issues you're facing with the hospital.
