Birmingham, AL asked in Animal / Dog Law for Alabama

Q: Can I legally shoot my neighbors dogs for attacking me on my property?

My neighbors have an aggressive small dog that has not only attacked me 2 times but has even gone after my 2 year old and my outside cats as well as people just walking down the road. We have video proof of this and have informed the front office that they refuse to leash these dogs and it is continuing to happen. I should not be afraid to walk out on my front porch on my property. Please help cause the office is doing nothing about it and I'm about to buy a gun to shoot these dogs.
