Monticello, KY asked in Uncategorized for Kentucky

Q: Someone threatens charges before asking you stop texting them and you respond, stating "stop texting me." Harassment?

They never asked me to stop texting before threats. We were in a short but very serious relationship, she broke up with me but indicated it wasn't permanent. She never indicated she wanted me to stop texting her. So I texted a bunch for about an hour, then about 4 more times over the next week or so. The last text from me before the threat just said she would never get another chance with me, even saying I was way out of her league (it was obviously the last time I was going to text). I think it just made her mad and she even lied and was acting like we only had one date, which is not true. We saw each other a lot, texted I love you a lot, texted we were each other's "person..." We talked about marriage in person. Should I be worried about harassment charges? I swear I was never trying to harass. Her dad texted me too. I responded with 2 texts, 1st stating I wouldn't text anymore after this and didn't know she wanted me to stop, 2nd explaining she was lying about it only being one date
