Lansing, MI asked in Landlord - Tenant for Ohio

Q: Can I break my lease without paying the buyout because I have gotten bed bugs from the neighbors 3 times now?

This is the third time I have found bed bugs in my apartment. The first time I noticed the bites on my skin. I notified the apartment manager and they tested for them and treated my unit and the unit next to mine. I didn’t see any bugs until after the treatment and I saw 3 dead ones on the floor next to my bed. The second time I found a live bed bug crawling on my wall. I notified the apartment manager and again they came and tested for the bugs and treated my unit and the unit next to mine. I didn’t see any dead bugs in my unit after the second treatment. It’s been a couple months since the second treatment, and I thought they were gone now, but I found another bed bug crawling on my wall this morning. I haven’t notified the manager yet but I really just want to leave now but don’t want to have to pay the buy out because I keep getting a bed bugs no matter what I do. I followed all the protocols from the exterminator for before and after treatment.
