West Newbury, MA asked in Employment Law for Massachusetts

Q: Hi, I live in Massachusetts, I was suspended from my from walking out, I got fired yesterday. Because I swore at the mod

I wanted to talk the mod about the morning meeting, he yells in front other employees embarrassing me, Say ask your manager he was at morning meeting, I said would like to speak with you privately, he just kept on saying talk to your manager getting louder and louder. I finally told him to f- off. He came at me and put his face and ginger in my face, and said if you ever use the f- bomb at me again, I will personally drag you up the stairs and escort out the front doors. I said why do you to be so passive/ aggressive, he apologized, I was way to upset to perform at my job ( bartender) I got my purse went into the kitchen told the manager I was leaving he said okay, I said you don’t even want to know why I’m leaving, he said I can’t stop you, I said really and left. They said I abandoned my job, but my manger abandoned me. I have never been fired from a job or written up at this job. Other employees have walked out and sworn at manger, but they still work there. Do I have a case?
