Q: Am I going to get a probation violation for getting a drinking in public ticket?

A: It depends. What were the sentencing/probation terms? Certain jurisdictions have what some call "abstaining orders" where you can be in violation for being in or near a liquor store or bar. Without more information, it is difficult to say.

A: Unlikely, as that is only an infraction and not a crime. However, abstention from alcohol (in public) may have been a condition of your original probation case so be careful.
