Q: My wife's employer says she has to resign. what are her rights?
A: The issue is whether the employer or the employee is responsible for ending the relationship. An employer can terminate employment or not terminate employment. However,a business ordinarily has no power to force an employee to resign. Even so, there are exceptions. You will have to discuss the details with an attorney to more fully understand your options.
