Q: If your 17 and drop out in Ohio to get ged can the court system do anything ?

I have a baby and the school said that my mom could sign me out

A: Once you are 16, you can drop out of school with permission from the school and a parent. You are supposed to have a full time job as well, but as long as you have parental permission, school permission, and are working towards a GED, there is little chance of legal intervention. That said, you should stay in school and graduate. A GED is not the same as a diploma. Folks out here in the world view it as lesser as do colleges.
