A: This is definitely a bad idea. Unless the children are under age 5, the requirements for residential child care facilities according to the New Jersey Administrative Code (N.J.A.C. 10:127-6.10) states that "children who are five years of age or older occupy a bedroom only with members of the same sex." There are several other requirements under the code. So, regardless of how confident you feel this might be, you should avoid it at all costs. Especially as the non-custodial parent in a post-divorce matter.
