Q: Would a 23 year old get in any sort of trouble by talking to a 16 year old, no sex involved, just dating?
My family knows who he is, and knows that he's a good guy, but they aren't aware of us talking. We haven't started dating, let alone have sex, due to the law and not wanting him to get in any trouble. I just wanted clarification and more information about the juvinille law that allows anyone under 24 to be with anyone that's 16 and older. Thank you.
A: Any sort of trouble? Yes, stay away. You are right about the law but that does not mean you cannot be charged with contributing.
A: No legal problems. But 16 year-old girl is the definition of trouble.
