Lakewood, OH asked in Car Accidents for Ohio

Q: Help with being hit by car

A couple days ago i was hit by a car while in the crosswalk, The driver stopped to give me his card and then left quickly. i had to go to the hospital and was there for quite some time. when i got home i called the police because i thought thats what i was suppose to do, the police officer arrived and then told me that he was going to ticket me for jaywalking, so for 1 i called the police on myself? 2, i waited at the cross walk through about 5 red lights. not once did the sign say to "walk" so after the 5th red light i decided i would just walk quickly across the street on the red-light, and by the time i was 3/4 across the street i was hit. There was NO button to press to cross the street. Is this right? what do i do?

A: Schedule an appointment with an attorney in your area, and take the contract with you to the lawyer's office.
