Q: Can you opt out of SSI and receive the rest of your backpay if you are receiving Title II benefits?
Approved for SSD and SSI, received SSD backpay and part of SSI, single mom seriously in debt and cant wait any longer for the funds. SS gives conflicting answers constantly. Can you drop SSI and what are the repurcussions of only having SSD? SSI is only adding $22 a month. Really overwhelmed.
